(if a bit shorter than Warhammer’s at least) only to have attrition then immediately consume half the enemy troops. That’s stupid there, it’s stupid here. 13 rows · Aug 11,  · From Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki. Jump to: navigation., search. Attrition causes armies to.

Armies faced with attrition gradually lose men over time, described as losses due to desertion, starvation, and exposure. Attrition first appears in Napoleon: Total War; units in earlier games could travel in any terrain, friendly or otherwise, and not sustain losses. 13 rows · Aug 11,  · From Total War: WARHAMMER Wiki. So I’m looking at the diplomacy screen and I notice that some factions have a set aversion against me. Is this simply a threshold o is there a way to remove it? I’ve also encountered some Vampire counts which have claimed some neighboring land.

I walked in to see whats up but the area is giving me attrition and slowly killing my units. How am I supposed to counter this, or is it meant to be that I fight them with less units? User Info: Fordun. Top Voted Answer. I’m just learning the game but have some past Total War experience so my answers may not be complete as I haven’t experienced the full game yet. Aversion seems to be a built in Diplomacy factor that I equate with ‘you’re different and I don’t like you’ as it seems to be strongest with other Races.

You can’t change it it’s just a factor that makes it harder to get certain factions to like you. You can just accept they’re gonna hate you or work hard on what diplomatic options you have to counter it such as Trade and other agreements. Affliction hits your army anytime you are in hostile territory, mouse over the land and you will see where it is.

By hostile I mean the environment not just in the land of an enemy. Chaos Lands are the best example, anyone else goes up there and their units lose troops quickly. You have to move through this territory quickly and use the ‘Encamp’ stance to counter it. Your troops will heal up while encamped. Still staying out and moving through as quickly as possible are the best options. User Info: Polarballs. Polarballs basically nailed it, but I just wanted to add that going to war and doing some damage to an enemy of someone who has an aversion towards you is a good way to overcome it and start diplomatic ties.
