I mean the mouse “works”, but without an official driver I cannot change advanced settings, like set double-click on the middle wheel button. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes I read that very Product Guide but it’s only a series of generic stuff about international regulations, photosensibility risks, conformity declaration, international standards and so on. There’s also the quick start guide but it says nothing about the lack of drivers and the impossibility of being able to customize the function of the middle button wheel. I don’t know, this might be common nowadays but I’ve always owned exclusively Microsoft mice for the past 25 years and I never experienced something like this before honestly, I’m quite puzzled.

After further examining my case I think the problem is that this product is fairly new and as such it’s only supported by Windows 10 and there is no way to have full support for older OS like Windows 8 and Windows 7 the latter of which is no longer supported by MS as of , after all.

It’s still quite peculiar how the mouse works perfectly with the standard Windows 7 drivers and gets fully recognized in the device manager, but without the “advanced” drivers you cannot customize stuff like the middle button function. In reply to Bill Smithers’s post on September 22, Ironically I would’ve been better buying an older product I suppose.

LemP Volunteer Moderator. In reply to SenioRotondi’s post on September 22, The in-box drivers in Windows always permit basic functionality of mice and keyboards. If things didn’t work that way, you might have a difficult time installing the “customizing” software. I have used Microsoft Wireless Mouse at different times over the years that came with a software CD without ever bothering to install that software with no problems.
