Kill a dragon in seconds. Thousand Cuts – Highest single skill damage in the game by a wide amount. You need a stopwatch to determine which rogue is more powerful, but they’re both crazy good focus Estimated Reading Time: 3 mins. Focus abilities are an unfortunate casualty of the aggressively stupid 8 ability slot limit. They are fun, interesting and often very powerful, sure, but I can’t justify giving one of eight slots to such a situational ability, especially when they have other costs like the Inquisition Perk points to get them to Tier 3. Yeah I had not even been equipping focus skills on characters besides my inquisitor before lol. I figured, I only had one focus skill I could use each time so it may as well be mark of the Rift every time.

Jeeze I feel dumb. Now I’m running around letting the NPCs use focus skills at will and I’ve gotten a bit more spammy with mine as well.

User Info: scipiopublius. I didn’t know this either. But I generally just stick with my Inquisitor SnS. User Info: NextGenCowboy. Rogue-Tier: Hail of Arrows — takes every archery skill you use, and makes two copies to hit an enemy 3 times.

Mix with Leaping Shot and you fire off 36 arrows, which is 36 chances to crit. Get crit high enough and it wipes all cooldowns. Looked like it Hurt gives stamina per crit. Mix together.

Kill a dragon in seconds. Thousand Cuts – Highest single skill damage in the game by a wide amount. You need a stopwatch to determine which rogue is more powerful, but they’re both crazy good focus skills. It’s freaking sweet. Firestorm – almost Thousand Cuts-level damage, but it’s a very resisted element, takes much longer to fire off, and mages deal less damage than rogues.

Haste – Stopping time is good. Takes forever to get the skill off, but it can easily turn the battle in your favor. Defensive-Tier: Rejuvi – A real heal, awesome. Also, revive. It’s awesome. Less-defensive-Tier: Rampage – let’s a Reaver get HP back and deal more damage, very nice, but most people will be using Rage too much to make it extremely useful.

Counterstrike – like a less useful version of Templars, though it does have use on melee groups or dragons. I’m already dead. I think I died the day I met you. User Info: JLazarillo. NextGenCowboy posted While it’s active, the AI is essentially unable to directly target any characters in your party. The problem is that enemies still know that you’re around, so if they have area attacks, they’ll try to hit you with those.

Mages will lay mines, Giants will do their ground-slam thing, etc. For most fights, though, it’s effectively the same thing as Haste. Formerly a panda, formerly a carnivore. Now just a guy without a catch phrase. Except one doesn’t have control over their party, and any enemy worth using it on, like dragons, have Perception, making it effectively useless.

User Info: 2DFighter84 2DFighter84 4 years ago 1 I’ve had this game for years, but I literally just found out that each party member had their own individual Focus meter.

I knew they had their own Focus abilities, but all this time, I thought it was one shared Focus meter among all party members. So, I never even tried to use more than one Focus ability at a time. I was fighting a High dragon and used two Focus abilities at the same time, completely by mistake; I ended up using Resurgence and Mark of the Rift back to back.

This could have made life so much easier if I knew it years ago. User Info: Blackcurse Blackcurse 4 years ago 2 hehe yeah that one took me a while as well to figure out, though honestly not as long as you did.
